Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz fresh whole cranberries
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 1 Macintosh apple peeled and chopped
  • 2 tbsp brandy optional
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions
 

  • Place all the ingredients in a heavy bottom sauce pan on medium heat
  • Bring up to a gentle boil
  • Turn down the heat and let simmer about 15 minutes
  • Stir frequently, don't turn your back or they will burn!
  • The cranberries will start to pop and take on a nice red color
  • Remove the cinnamon stick
  • Serve in a festive serving dish
