fresh whole cranberries

sugar

fresh squeezed orange juice

Macintosh apple
peeled and chopped

brandy
optional

cinnamon stick
Instructions
Place all the ingredients in a heavy bottom sauce pan on medium heat
Bring up to a gentle boil
Turn down the heat and let simmer about 15 minutes
Stir frequently, don't turn your back or they will burn!
The cranberries will start to pop and take on a nice red color
Remove the cinnamon stick
Serve in a festive serving dish
