Pumpkin Spice Syrup
Say no to standing in long lines, getting poor customer service, not knowing what is actually in that pumpkin flavoring, and paying $5 for a coffee! Stay home in your jammies, make yourself a latte with with real pumpkin, save money and time.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- ¼ cup organic pumpkin puree
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp fresh ground nutmeg
- ½ tsp ground cloves
Instructions
- Place sugar and water in a sauce pan on medium heat, stirring with a whisk until sugar dissolves
- Add the pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer 5 minutes
- Let cool and pour into a airtight container
- Syrup will keep in the refrigerator for up to a month
Notes
Add one to two tablespoons of pumpkin spice syrup to your favorite brewed coffee or espresso. Top with foamy milk or whipped cream, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
