Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup organic pumpkin puree
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp fresh ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp ground cloves

Instructions
 

  • Place sugar and water in a sauce pan on medium heat, stirring with a whisk until sugar dissolves
  • Add the pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer 5 minutes
  • Let cool and pour into a airtight container
  • Syrup will keep in the refrigerator for up to a month

Notes

Add one to two tablespoons of pumpkin spice syrup to your favorite brewed coffee or espresso.  Top with foamy milk or whipped cream, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
