Ingredients
  

  • 1 bunch kale
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 large cucumber peeled
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 Granny Smith apple peeled and cored
  • juice of a lemon
  • tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Remove the bitter inner stalk of the kale.
  • Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Strain through a mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a pitcher.
  • Serve over ice.

Notes

Variations:

  • Swap out the kale for spinach or arugula.
  • Swap out the water for 2 cups of apple juice, if you want it sweeter.
