Carrot Detox Juice

Carrot Detox Juice

Getting juice to go at trendy juice bars is a healthy way to get your veggies on the run, but it can be pricey. It's actually easy to make your favorite juices at home.
Use a fancy juicer or your blender and a strainer. I use my Ninja and strain with cheesecloth to get every drop of juice.

Ingredients

  • 10 carrots rough cut
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 oranges juiced
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 4 tbsp Agave nectar
  • 4 tbsp fresh ginger peeled and rough chopped
  • 1 tbsp turmeric

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
  • Place doubled cheesecloth or a large strainer over a bowl and strain out the pulp
  • Transfer juice to a pitcher
  • Serve with ice

Notes

I use doubled cheesecloth to strain my juices.  You can really squeeze every drop of juice out of the pulp!
Also try omitting the turmeric and adding ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper for an extra zing.
