Teriyaki San Dieguito Sliders
Teriyaki San Dieguito Sliders
This is a retro dish using LuLu's Teriyaki Sauce and inspired by a trip to San Dieguito Park. Old School Encinitas natives will get why I chose to make sliders, but this works for full burgers too.
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turky
- ¼ tsp salt
- 3 tbsp teriyaki sauce plus more for drizzling
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 can pineapple chunks
- 1 large jalapeno sliced
- slider buns
Instructions
- In a bowl, place ground turkey, salt, 3 tbsp teriyaki sauce, egg, and panko bread crumbs
- Mix together, but don't over-work the meat
- Form into patties, making an indentation in the center with your thumb
- If making sliders, heat your well-oiled cast iron pan along with the grill
- Grill sliders 5 minutes on each side
- Toast the slider buns lightly for 1 minute
- To assemble, drizzle some teriyaki sauce over the warm sliders
- Top with a slice of jalapeno and a chunk of pineapple
- Toothpicks help hold the sliders together
Notes
Serve with Marge’s Retro Potato Salad, Moroccan Watermelon Aqua Fresca, and Edna’s Peanut Butter Bars (coming soon).
